Shishir Gupta

Shishir Gupta is a seasoned Senior HR Leader with over 25 years of cross-functional experience across Human Resources and Finance, including more than 17 years of proven success in HR Transformation, Operations, and Shared Services. He brings a strong track record of delivering enterprise-wide HR solutions, with a sharp focus on customer centricity, continuous improvement, and business alignment.

Shishir has successfully led large-scale HR transformation initiatives, built and scaled shared services teams, and partnered with cross-functional stakeholders across Recruitment, Talent Management, Position Management, Global Mobility, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Retention, Succession Planning, and Leadership Development. He is particularly known for his ability to bridge the gap between strategic vision and operational execution, ensuring measurable impact on workforce effectiveness and business outcomes.

He has been part of the HR Transformation journey at MongoDB Software I P Ltd supporting and working with multiple stakeholders across all Regions (around the globe). He has led Global HR Operations at Whirlpool Corporation from Gurugram, India, where he supported over 78,000 employees worldwide. His leadership journey also includes impactful tenures with Ameriprise Financial, Maersk, and the JK Organization, where he held roles in both HR and Finance. At Ameriprise, he played a pivotal role in building HR Shared Services from the ground up, while also driving initiatives in HR Analytics, Compliance, and Learning & Development.

With deep expertise in HR Technology, HR Processes and Analytics, Shishir has led implementations and enhancements across SAP, SuccessFactors (all modules including Workforce Analytics & Planning), and PeopleSoft HRMS 9.1. He is adept in business intelligence and data reporting tools, with a passion for using data to influence strategic decisions.

Shishir is recognized for his goal-oriented leadership, ability to manage high-performing teams of up to 80 members, and for cultivating high engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and operational excellence. He is an avid learner and holds Master’s degrees in Finance, International Business, and HR, along with 11 specialized certifications in the HR domain. He is also pursuing his Coaching certification from ICF. Outside of work, Shishir enjoys science fiction and comedy, is an avid cricket enthusiast, and cherishes time spent with his family.
